737-838/W VH-VXM after painting in the new Qantas corporate scheme (Traffic/August) returned to service on July 13 when it operated QF72 from Singapore to Perth.

737-838/W VH-VYD operated QF71 from Perth to Singapore on July 13 and was then ferried from Singapore to Jakarta as QF6004 where on arrival was painted in the new Qantas corporate scheme. On July 26 VH-VYD ferried as QF6003 from Jakarta to Singapore and the same evening returned to service as QF72 from Singapore to Perth.

737-838/W VH-VYE operated QF71 from Perth to Singapore on July 26 and on arrival was hangered for painting in the new Qantas corporate scheme. On August 8 it returned to service when it operated QF72 from Singapore to Perth.

QantasLink ferried Fokker 100 VH-NHP as NWK6682 from Perth to Wagga Wagga on June 9 for painting in the new Qantas corporate livery. VH-NHP, which was the first of type in the new scheme, returned to Perth from Wagga Wagga via Adelaide on July 19.

While in Wagga Wagga VH‑NHP was named Paraburdoo. With the painting of VH-NHP only Fokker 100s VH-NHF and VH-NHQ remain in the Network Aviation scheme.

Dash 8-Q315 VH-SBB as ‘QantasLink 101’ was ferried from Sydney to Brisbane and Townsville on July 26 for painting. Now named Armidale VH-SBB ferried as QantasLink 1484 from Townsville to Brisbane and Sydney on August 7.

Jetstar ferried A320-232 VH‑VQK from Melbourne to Darwin and Singapore as VOZ8993 on July 18 for planned maintenance. A320-232 VH-VQQ ferried as VOZ8995 from Melbourne to Darwin and Singapore on July 18 for planned maintenance.

Dash 8-Q315 VH-SBW, which had been operating in New Zealand for Jetstar, ferried from Auckland to Norfolk Island and Brisbane on July 22 and later returned to service with QantasLink.

Jetstar Pacific has wet leased A320-232 VN-A564 and A320- 232 VN-A565 to Nesma Airlines in Saudi Arabia to cover operations during the HAJJ. On July 8 both A320-232s were ferried from Saigon to Hyderabad and Jeddah.

Jetstar Pacific took delivery of A320-232 VN-A571 in Saigon on August 10 after the aircraft ferried in from Toulouse and Al Maktoum.

Airline news

In this issue we report the delivery of a Fokker 70 to Alliance Airlines and an ATR 72-600 to ANZ Link.

Air New Zealand ferried 777‑319ER ZK-OKR as NZ6015 from Auckland to Singapore on July 31 for planned maintenance.

ANZ Link/Mount Cook took delivery of ATR 72-600 ZK‑MVP msn 1444 at Christchurch on August 3. The ferry from Toulouse was operated by Southern Cross International as SXI1734 via Alexandria, Al Ain, Nagpur, Kuala Lumpur, Denpasar, Darwin and Brisbane.

ATR 72-600 ZK-MVQ msn 1451 is planned for delivery to ANZ Link/Mount Cook in early September.

ATR 72-500 ZK-MCA was withdrawn from service on July 23 after the aircraft operated NZ5185 from Palmerston North to Christchurch.

Alliance Airlines took delivery of Fokker 70 PH-KBX msn 11547 at Brisbane on August 7 after the aircraft ferried in from Woensdrecht. The ferry flight, which was contracted to Southern Cross as SXI1722, was operated via Trabzon, Al Ain, Hyderabad, Kuala Lumpur, Kupang and Townsville.

Fokker 100 VH-UQD msn 11460 ex OE-LVD was registered to Alliance on June 28, while Fokker 100 VH-UQG msn 11446 ex OE-LVC was registered to Alliance on July 24.

Fokker 70 VH-JFE on completion of planned maintenance in Bratislava (Traffic/July) arrived in Brisbane on July 10 from Kuala Lumpur and Kupang as Southern Cross 1724.

Virgin Group news

In this issue we report the delivery of a 737-800 to Virgin Australia and the departure of three E190s, plus the withdrawal from service of a VARA ATR 72-500.

Virgin Australia took delivery of 737-800/W VH-YFY Mungalla in Brisbane on July 26 after the aircraft completed its ferry flight VOZ9940 from Boeing Field via Lihue and Nadi. VH-YFY entered service with Virgin Australia on August 9 when it operated VOZ308 from Brisbane to Melbourne.

737-800/W VH-YFZ msn 41005 was registered to Virgin Australia on August 3.

737-7FE/W VH-VBZ, which had been in Singapore since June 12 for maintenance (Traffic/August), ferried from Seletar to Brisbane as VOZ9942 on July 13.

E190-100IGW VH-ZPK was withdrawn from service on July 8 after operating VOZ427 from Adelaide to Sydney. On July 9 VH-ZPK was ferried to Brisbane as VOZ9537. On July 11 as VOZ9901 it departed Brisbane on ferry to Nashville via Apia, Honolulu and Van Nuys.

E190-100IGW VH-ZPQ was withdrawn from service on June 27 after operating VOZ616 from Mackay to Brisbane. On July 4 as VOZ9901 it departed Brisbane on ferry to Nashville via Apia, Honolulu and Van Nuys.

E190-100IGW VH-ZPR was withdrawn from service on August 1 after operating VOZ608 from Mackay to Brisbane. On August 4 as VOZ9901 it departed Brisbane on ferry to Nashville via Apia, Honolulu and Van Nuys.

E190-100IGW VH-ZPL, which departed Brisbane for Nashville on October 5 ’16 on termination of its lease, was registered EI-GCH to Aldus Portfolio Leasing on June 2.

E190-100IGW VH-ZPM, which departed Brisbane for Nashville on February 6 on termination of its lease, was registered EI-GCI to Aldus Portfolio Leasing on July 18.

Virgin Australia Regional

Airlines/VARA withdrew ATR 72‑500 VH-FVL from service on July 17 after it operated VOZ1670 from Moranbah to Brisbane. On July 18 VH-FVL was ferried as VOZ9948 from Brisbane to Nelson where it was placed in long-term storage with Air New Zealand Regional maintenance.

ATR 72-500 VH-FVH, which was ferried from Brisbane to Nelson on June 16 (Traffic/August), has also been placed in storage.

Regional airline news

In this issue we report the delivery of a King Air B300C to the RFDS (Queensland) and a PC-12/47E to the RFDS (Central Operations).

Air Loyaute ferried DHC- 6‑300 F-OIAY ex maintenance from Cairns to Mackay and the Gold Coast on July 6 before continuing to Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island on July 8 and onwards to Noumea on July 9.

Curtain Bros (QLD) has reportedly sold their Beech 1900D VH-VPZ with the aircraft noted at Cairns on August 1 now carrying the colours and titles of Tamara Niger Aviation and the registration 5U-TNE.

Heavylift PNG ferried DHC‑6‑300 P2-KSG from Port Moresby to Cairns on July 2 and there the aircraft was prepared for operation with Heavylift Australia (see below).

Heavylift Australia (Fixed Wing) of Banyo, Queensland registered DHC-6-300 VH-YWJ ex P2-KSG on July 25. While in Cairns the aircraft was painted in a new Heavylift colour scheme before ferrying south on July 28/29 to Brisbane where it is now based.

RFDS (Central Operations) took delivery of PC-12/47E VH‑FXZ at Adelaide on August 8 after the aircraft ferried in from Stans, Switzerland via Denpasar and Broome. VH-FXZ carries special marks noting that it is the 1,500th PC-12 produced.

RFDS (Queensland) took delivery of King Air B300C VH-FDD msn FM-69 at Cairns on August 7 after the aircraft completed its ferry flight from the United States via Lombok and Darwin.

Skyline Aviation ferried their King Air 200 ZK-MFT from Napier to the Gold Coast via Auckland and Norfolk Island on July 23.

Southwest Air Charter (PNG) ceased operations on August 3 and as a consequence DHC-6-300 P2-SWE and King Air B200 P2-SWZ have since been parked at Port Moresby.

Bizjet news

In this issue we report the deliveries of a Falcon 2000EX, Hawker 800XP, Gulfstream 150 and Citation CJ2 and the departure of a BAe 125‑1000.

Falcon 2000EX ZK-OCB msn 0110 ex N157AL was registered to Pacific Jets of Auckland on July 12 and was delivered to Auckland on August 7 from Grand Junction, Colorado via Oakland, Kona, and Apia. The Falcon replaces Citation CJ4 ZK‑OCB, which had departed Auckland for the United States on June 15 (Traffic/August) and has since been registered N109CA.

Hawker 800XP M-UKHA msn 258625 was delivered to Essendon on July 7 from Gan, Cocos and Broome. On July 14 the Hawker was registered VH‑OFJ with the owner Add Aviation Services of Essendon Fields, Victoria and the operator Australian Corporate Jet Centres, also of Essendon Fields.

Gulfstream 150 VH-PFW msn 255 was placed on the register on July 17 with the owner ST Aerospace Engineering of Seletar, Singapore and the operator Pacific Flight Services of Condell Park, NSW.

Citation CJ2 VH-ZIY msn 525A0156 ex JA525B was registered on July 31 with the owner Machjet of Cooroy, Queensland and the operator Machjet International of Sunshine Coast Airport, Queensland. VH‑ZIY was delivered to the Sunshine Coast on August 4 from Japan via Tokua and Townsville.

Hawker 125-1000 VH-LMP, which was operated by Shortstop Jet Charter of Essendon, was cancelled from the register on July 20 on its sale overseas. On July 28 now registered T7‑SMA the Hawker 1000 departed Essendon for Broome and Cocos.

Citation I VH-EGK 500-0051, which was operated by Aircraft Group Holdings of Oxenford, Queensland was cancelled from the register on July 21. The former VH-EMM was reduced to spares at Essendon commencing March ’13.

Citation Mustang VH-MHO changed its registered operator on July 21 from Flight Options (Australia) to Tadmar Investments of Mudjimba, Queensland.

Citation Ultra VH-WFE changed its registered owner on July 25 from Trump Aviation to Forbes Investment Fund of Coolangatta, Queensland.

Falcon 50 VH-FJQ changed its registered operator on July 17 from Falcon 50 to Business Aviation Solutions of Tugun, Queensland.

Falcon 20F-5 VH-PNY changed its registered owner on July 17 from the National Australia Bank to Falconair of Beaconsfield, NSW.

Textron Aviation Citation Sovereign+ N578AB has operated a demonstration tour of Australia and New Zealand, arriving in Brisbane from Seletar and Darwin on July 29. It was initially demonstrated at West Wellcamp, Hamilton Island and Brisbane before leaving for Auckland on August 1. The Sovereign+ departed Auckland for Sydney on August 3 followed by visits to Essendon and Kalgoorlie before departing Brisbane for Darwin and Seletar on August 8.

In propjet news King Air B200 ZS-JSC msn BB-1985 arrived at Jandakot on August 5 from South Africa via Halim and Port Hedland.

King Air B200 VH-ZCR, which crashed at Essendon on February 21, was cancelled from the register on August 2 as ‘destroyed’.

King Air B300 VH-KJD msn FL-443, which arrived in Auckland on July 2 from Archerfield and Lord Howe Island, was registered ZK-PWL to Cubro Ltd of Tauranga on July 12.

Textron Aviation King Air 350i N350KF msn FL-954 has been demonstrated in Australia, arriving at Jandakot from Denpasar and Port Hedland on July 3. It was later noted at Perth, Adelaide, Essendon, Sydney, Brisbane, Toowoomba, West Wellcamp and Mount Isa.

Contrail Aviation Gulfstream 650 N102BG arrived in Sydney from Honolulu on July 31 before continuing to Essendon on August 4.

Gateway Air Center Cessna 208 N551SV msn 20800372, which is a Texas Turbine 900shp conversion, was delivered to Wollongong on July 18 from Merced via Kahului, Honolulu, Apia, Gold Coast and Redcliffe. On July 26 N551SV was registered VH-BCR to Skydive the Beach Group of North Wollongong.

Trans Wonderland Holdings Cessna 208 VH-FLL had been a long-time static resident at Port Moresby before it departed for Cairns on August 5.

Cessna 172S VH-ZSD has been sold in New Zealand and on July 26 it departed Archerfield for Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island before continuing to Auckland on July 27. It was later registered ZK‑CBM on August 3.

Cessna 172P VH-BFQ in company with PA-32R-300 VH‑HOK departed the Gold Coast for Lord Howe Island on August 3 before continuing to Norfolk Island, Kerikeri and New Plymouth on August 3.

Cirrus SR22 N455MV departed the Gold Coast on July 5 for Seletar where it arrived on July 8 via Longreach, Mt Isa, Darwin, Kupang and Halim.

Kodiak/FP N181KQ arrived in Perth from Male and Cocos on July 6 before continuing to Adelaide on July 7 and Norfolk Island on July 9. It later arrived at Auckland from Nukualofa on July 17 before it continued to Ardmore.

Hong Kong Jet A330-202 VP‑CBE departed Melbourne for Perth on July 24 before continuing to Johannesburg on July 29.

Royal Thai Air Force A340-500 HS-TYV as RTAF230 arrived Perth from Don Muang on August 7 before continuing to Canberra on August 8. It departed Canberra for Don Muang on August 11.

Volga-Dnepr An-124 RA-82047 arrived in Darwin from Singapore as VDA3072 on July 24. It departed to Irkutsk as VDA3073 on July 25.

Omni Air 777-2U8 N819AX as flight OAE323 arrived in Rockhampton from Guam on July 28 before returning to Guam on July 29.

Omni Air 777-2U8 N828AX has operated a number of flights into Queensland ports. As OAE309 it arrived in Brisbane from Honolulu on July 30 before operating a return flight the same day to Rockhampton and then departing to Honolulu.

On August 4 as OAE316 it arrived in Townsville ex Honolulu before operating a return flight to U-Tapao. On August 7 as OAE317 it departed Townsville for U-Tapao.

Omni Air 767-3Q8 N477AX as OAE388 arrived in Rockhampton from Nagoya and Darwin on July 8, departing later that day to Nagoya.

Atlas Air 767-36N N661GT as GTI8775 arrived in Darwin from Honolulu on July 30 and departed to Iwakuni as GTI8776 on July 31.

Honeywell International 757‑225 N757HW arrived at Melbourne from Halim on July 21 before continuing to Canberra on July 24 and Nadi on July 25.

The RAAF took delivery of P-8A A47-004 callsign ‘ASY197’ at Edinburgh on August 7 after the aircraft ferried in from Jacksonville via Tinker AFB, Hickam and Noumea.

737-7BC/BBJ N666ML callsign ‘BWJ666’ departed Melbourne for Sydney on July 13 before continuing to Shanghai on July 18.

Deer Jet 737-73W/BBJ B-5273 arrived in Melbourne from Shenzhen on July 3 and departed to Don Muang on July 4.

Embraer KC-390 PT-ZNJ, which carried the colours of the Forca Aerea Brasileira, arrived in Auckland on July 10 from Kuala Lumpur, Port Hedland and Brisbane. The KC-390 was then demonstrated to the RNZAF before departing Auckland for Sydney on July 12 and continuing to Darwin on July 13.

Volga-Dnepr Airlines Il‑76‑90VD RA-76503 as flight VDA8246 carried a replacement engine into Perth for Air Asia A330-343E 9M-XXE from Kuala Lumpur on July 4. As VDA8247 it departed Perth for Kota Kinabalu on July 5.

Volga-Dnepr Airlines Il‑76‑90VD RA-76511 as flight VDA3076 arrived in Cairns from Johor Bahru on July 19 before continuing to Noumea on July 20. On July 25 it operated Noumea- Sydney-Noumea as VDA3077/3078 before departing Noumea for Brisbane and Perth on July 28. On July 29 it departed Perth for Johor Bahru.

Western Global MD-11F N542KD as WGN8571 arrived in Townsville from Fujairah on August 6 before departing to Kadena on August 7.
