Emergency management
An effective emergency response requires planning and coordination
Emergencies are an unavoidable part of the aviation industry, with a number of incidents occurring on and around airports each year. The Australian Airports Association (AAA) recognises the importance of creating a platform to bring the aviation industry together to hear from subject matter experts and discuss the challenges relating to aviation emergency response and disaster management.
Last month the AAA hosted the AAA Emergency Management Forum in Canberra with delegates from around Australia in attendance. The most valuable and important aspect of this forum was the sharing of past experiences, lessons learned and the affect they will have on future planning.
