Only one completely new type is shown in the New Allocations section this issue although several interesting sub-types are listed.
Armando Papallo’s Zenair CH620 Gemini ZXP is the prototype and indeed the only example of the type built. Designed by Chris Heintz the Gemini is a twin engine, low wing, two seat (side by side) kit aircraft that first flew on July 23 1996. It has a wingspan of only 8.3m and is fitted with two Jabiru 2200 flat four engines. It seems that only one prototype was built and development of the aircraft is officially “on hold” by Zenair.
