The first Airbus A380 passenger flight took place on September 4 from Toulouse with test aircraft MSN 002 carrying 474 Airbus employees on the first of four ‘Early Long Flights’ scheduled during the week.

The first Boeing 747 Large Cargo Freighter (LCF) specially modified from a 747-400 had its maiden flight on September 9 from Taiwan Taoyuan Airport.
