Managing noise
The Aviation Industry Noise Forum takes a proactive approach
Unfortunately, aircraft noise is an unavoidable consequence of aviation activity. This fact is unlikely to change in the near future and with continued growth in aviation sector, it is important that both industry and government constantly look for opportunities to work collaboratively to minimise aircraft noise impacts.
In recognition of this issue the Australian Airports Association (AAA) and Airservices once again came together to jointly host the Aviation Industry Noise Forum in Canberra on June 27. This was the sixth year for the forum, which brings together representatives from across the aviation industry to discuss aircraft noise-related issues and look for opportunities to better manage aircraft noise.
