All the instructor’s work to get their charge over the line is often not seen by the student

I was also pleased to hear of his progress in his commercial flying, something that not every flight instructor hears from former students.

‘Jay’ came to me as a student from another school. He had a private licence and could fly a Cessna 172. He told me that he elected to fly at the school that I work at because he felt it had a better attitude and that he selected me as his instructor as he wanted someone with more general experience and with real commercial experience.
