Multi-layered
Australia’s best practice airport security
The recent tragic bombing of the Zaventem Airport in Brussels has brought the issue of airport security back into the headlines. This has resulted in some media commentary from a number of commentators offering their opinions on the vulnerabilities of Australia’s airports and their solutions to ‘fix’ them. It is disappointing that media coverage has focused more on opinions rather than the substantive detail of the time, resources and expertise from both government and industry that is focused squarely on creating a secure aviation environment for Australian air travellers and aviation industry workers.
It’s a good opportunity to set the record straight.
