New Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Leo Davies on RAAF cultural change and capabilities

To paraphrase our new Prime Minister, there’s never been a busier time to be the Chief of Air Force.

As this issue of Australian Aviation went to press, Royal Australian Air Force Hornets, supported by a Wedgetail AEW&C platform and a KC-30 tanker-transport, are flying combat missions against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria as part of Operation Okra; while a separate deployment of Super Hornet and Hornet fighters plus an AP-3C Orion were taking part in a Red Flag exercise in Nevada.
