The Indonesia AirAsia A320 that crashed in December 2014 killing all 162 aboard flew to Perth 38 times in the preceding 12 months with the same recurring fault that started the chain of events resulting in its loss.

The Airbus A320, PK-AXC, was used extensively on the Perth to Bali route carrying the recurring fault.
