December 1990 Australian Aviation’s cover featured an artist’s impression of the forthcoming Boeing 777. Inside was part 2 of a profile on the 767 in Australian service.
On December 12 Boeing announced that it had received a contract from the Government of Singapore to build 12 F-15SG advanced versions of the F-15E Strike Eagle as the country’s next generation replacement fighter jet, plus another eight options.
The aircraft will be delivered in 2008 and 2009 enabling the Republic of Singapore Air Force to retire its A-4SU Super Skyhawks.
