Metrojet disaster raises fresh potential security concerns

The terrible tragedy of the loss of Metrojet Flight 7K9268 flying from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) to St Petersburg (Russia) killing all 224 on board was compounded by a rash of misinformation surrounding the loss.

The Egyptian government, the airline, foreign governments and intelligence agencies all gave commentary and too much of the information was either misleading or plain wrong.
