A new world distance record for a nonstop flight by a commercial aircraft was established by a Boeing 777-200LR Worldliner on an eastbound journey from Hong Kong leaving at 10:30pm on the evening of November 9 to London Heathrow.

During the 22hr 42min flight it covered a distance of 11,664nm over a route across the North Pacific Ocean, North America and the mid-north Atlantic Ocean.
