Bombardier has celebrated the delivery of its 500th Q400 turboprop with a special ceremony at its Toronto facilities.
The milestone Q400 was delivered to Canadian carrier WestJet Encore on Thursday (Canada time) in front of more than 500 of the airline’s staff, as well as Bombardier employees and government guests.

This latest aircraft is the 22nd Q400 delivered to WestJet Encore as part of an order for 36 of the type.
Bombardier said it had booked firm orders for 546 Q400s, which were flown by more than 60 owners and operators in about 40 countries. Qantas subsidiary Sunstate operates 31 Q400s in Australia under the QantasLink brand.
