Built, who has previously worked with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, American Airlines and Jet Airways will report to Etihad vice president for Asia Pacific South and Australasia Lindsay White.

Etihad is due to deploy its Airbus A380 on the Abu Dhabi-Sydney route, as well as the Boeing 787-9 between Brisbane and the United Arab Emirates capital, from early June.

The airline also recently promoted Rohan Farrance to manager for Western Australia. He was previously based in Sydney as one of Etihad’s national account managers.

Hopefully Ms. Built will pressure Etihad to introduce Premium Economy seating. Lack of this means I don’t use either of the UAE airlines. Can’t afford Business, and find Economy too restrictive for 13hr. flights.
