Maybe a traditional name like Gunna-happen-one-day, or Dreamtime – as we’ve been dreaming about it for years? Or WNAEIS – hard to pronounce – but sounds like Why Not Another Environmental Impact Study.

Perhaps Campwell – the exact opposite of Wellcamp – which was built quickly, privately, and without continuous government studies and discussions and…… Collins Airport? Remember Bob Collins turning the first sod with a silver shovel a few decades ago? Seriously though – an amazing contrast with the privately built, privately funded Wellcamp Airport (different scale I know, but 20+ years of no action v an airport built and operational in a couple of years is an amazing study). If it was built when first discussed, it would be a 10th of the cost of building it today, and the ongoing wasted money on studies and analysis and committees could have been put to better use. We REALLY need to crack on with some good infrastructure work in Australia, but recent govts of all sides simply haven’t had the desire.
