KLM retires the last passenger MD-11

On October 26 2014 a very special and unique era of aviation came to a close. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Flight KL672, a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 named Audrey Hepburn, made its last passenger flight from Montreal to Amsterdam.

The flight not only marked the end of scheduled MD-11 passenger operations worldwide, but also the end of a remarkable era in civil aviation – the loyal partnership between KLM and aircraft manufacturer (McDonnell) Douglas, which lasted 80 years.
