Airline results, collapses highlight the brutal reality of regional aviation

Last Man Standing is the title of the 2013/14 Regional Express annual report. With the collapse of Vincent Aviation, Brindabella Airlines and Aeropelican, it is perhaps an apt description for what has occurred in the past year.

However, for the sake of those still plying their trade to small towns across this wide, brown land providing what in many cases are essential air services, let’s hope it is not a prediction of what is to come.
