The RAAF Air Task Group (ATG) of eight F/A-18F Super Hornets, a Wedgetail AEW&C aircraft and a KC-30A tanker-transport has arrived at Al Minhad Air Base near Dubai in the UAE, ahead of their likely employment against IS forces in Iraq.
“The Air Task Group will now prepare to respond to future government decisions regarding a possible contribution to international operations to combat ISIL,” the Department of Defence said in a statement on Wednesday.
