New Zealand’s Civil Aviation Authority has appointed Karen Wheeler as group manager – operations of its Aviation Security Service (Avsec), with effect from October 20.
Urwin will be based in Wellington and will oversee Avsec’s security services at New Zealand’s six security designated airports, plus will be responsible for managing the Explosive Detector Dog program, and re-establishing Avsec’s intelligence capability, the NZ CAA said in a statement on Friday.
