Learning to heed the advice
The MRH 90 has endured a turbulent ride
The Australian National Audit Office report into the ADF’s AIR 9000 Phase 2/4/6 MRH 90 acquisition program is not a flattering one.
The report doesn’t draw any real conclusions and makes a point of noting that many of the apparent mistakes made early in the project and the capability shortfalls of the helicopter itself have since been or are being addressed. But it reaffirms what many in and around the ADF have known for a long time – that the MRH 90 was chosen against the advice of Defence.
