Sydney-based composite components manufacturer Quickstep has been awarded a US$11.2 million purchase order from Lockheed Martin for 19 wing flap sets for the C-130J Hercules.

The latest purchase order takes to 55 the number of wing flap sets Quickstep has been contracted to supply to Lockheed Martin.

“We are very pleased to receive this new order, which locks in Quickstep’s C‐130J delivery schedule through 2015,” Quickstep executive director, Philippe Odouard said in a statement. “The continuing contract flow attests to our positive working relationship with Lockheed Martin and demonstrates our strong progress on this important aerospace contract.”

Deliveries under this latest purchase order are expected to begin in mid‐2015.
