Register Review
Five new types are shown in the New Allocations section this issue including Bell and Mosquito helicopters, Jonker gliders, a Morgan Cheyenne and the Waco version of the classic Great Lakes biplane.
Bankstown Helicopters’ Bell 407GX BLE is the first of its type to enter service locally and will be used for corporate and VIP work from the company’s Sydney base. The GX model is the first helicopter to be fitted with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite with the G1000HTM specifically designed for helicopters. The twin 10. 4in high resolution LCD screens incorporate primary flight displays and well as multifunction displays, and critical flight data is stored on an SD card for post flight retrieval and analysis. The display also provides vision from a rear facing camera giving a full colour picture of what is behind the helicopter.
