Virgin Australia will reduce its daily return services between Sydney and the Gold Coast from 12 to nine from July, while its Tigerair subsidiary will increase its daily services on the route from two to four.

“It starts to build up a good presence and a solid market offering for us up there [on the Gold Coast],” Tigerair chief executive Rob Sharp told Fairfax media. “These network reviews are a very important part of positioning the business going forward.”
