“We have significant experience operating and maintaining fit for purpose special mission platforms and look forward to continuing to work in synchrony with Fugro with whom we have a long-term relationship,” Darren Moncrieff, General Manager Special Mission, Cobham Aviation Services said in a statement. “Cobham had been supporting Fugro’s hydrographic survey services since 1998.”
The LADS system is based on a Bombardier Dash-8 aircraft which Cobham provides maintenance and other support services for when operating in the region.
