The Airbus Helicopters EC145 T2 has been granted certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its full range of capabilities, clearing the way for customer deliveries to commence later this year.
The T2 is an upgraded version of the EC145, and features a new fenestron tail rotor and composite tail boom, the new Helionix digital avionics suite with 4-axis autopilot, and more powerful Arriel 2E dual FADEC engines with an upgraded main gear box.

“The EC145 T2 is setting new standards in its class,” Airbus Helicopters CEO Guillaume Faury said in a statement. “This new model features a design to meet and exceed the latest challenging requirements of our customers for mission capability. Our operators will benefit from an unrivalled operational advantage thanks to the perfect combination of airframe, equipment and performance.”
Airbus has received orders for more than 115 EC145 T2s including 16 military version EC645 T2s for the German Army.
