Jetstar plans to operate the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Melbourne to Auckland route for a month early next year. The aircraft will be used for three trans-Tasman services a week between February 26 and March 28.

Jetstar took delivery of its first 787 in September and is due to receive its second imminently, with the third aircraft expected in early January.
