Bendigo Airport is to receive $300,000 in funding from the Victorian Government’s Regional Aviation Fund for the airport’s first stage of a $5 million redevelopment package.
The initial funding will go towards sealing two taxiways between planned and existing GA hangars and Runway 17/35, drainage construction and improved facilities.

“For too long, regional aviation infrastructure development has lagged, stifling the delivery of satisfactory air services for our regions. This is certainly the case here in Bendigo, where there is a demand for access by larger aircraft, however the outdated infrastructure means services are restricted to small aircraft,” Victorian Minister for Aviation Industry Gordon Rich-Phillips announced.
“These upgrades essentially future-proof Bendigo airport, clearing the way for further investment and development of the facility.”
