Air New Zealand’s Smaug dragon adorned 777-300ER has touched town in Los Angeles ahead of the world premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the New Zealand-made film that the airline’s latest special livery aircraft promotes.
The 777, ZK-OKO, is the second in the Air New Zealand fleet to wear Hobbit theme decals, after ZK-OKP was revealed late last year with a livery featuring characters from the first film in The Hobbit trilogy, An Unexpected Journey. The two aircraft are operating services from Auckland to Los Angeles and London.
