The ADF’s School of Air Traffic Control

Once the responsibility of air traffic controllers, management of aircraft movements on and around the ADF’s 11 military aerodromes in Australia falls to a relatively new specialisation within the RAAF, the Joint Battlefield Airspace Controller (JBAC).

And the change in job title is more than cosmetic, as it reflects the array of skills and responsibilities of those who graduate from the School of Air Traffic Control (SATC) at RAAF East Sale.
