Rolls-Royce has completed its 1,500th AE 2100 engine for installation on a C-130J Hercules.
The milestone engine was delivered to Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia following a celebration in Indianapolis, Indiana, where the AE 2100 is manufactured, assembled and tested. It will be fitted to a C-130J scheduled for delivery to the US Air Force in 2014.

In all 300 C-130Js have been built or are on order, including 12 delivered to the RAAF.
