The instrument landing system for Perth Airport’s main runway will receive an overhaul starting this week.
The work will include the replacement of the localiser antenna arrays at each end of runway 03/21.

Airsevices’ indicative dates for the upgrade see RWY 21’s localiser out of action during work hours only from August 22 to September 4; RWY 21’s ILS inoperative for upgrade work from September 5 to October 5; then RWY 03’s localiser out of action during work hours from September 24 to October 5; and RWY 03’s ILS inoperative from October 8 to November 8.
The ILS on the RWY24 end of Perth’s shorter cross runway is not being upgraded at this point and so is unaffected by the upgrade work
