The new flights come as Virgin expands its services in Melbourne, the airline’s second largest port behind Sydney.
“Now with our new widebody services, our premium business and economy class offering and our designer lounge at Melbourne Domestic Airport, we are confident that Virgin Australia will be the airline of choice for the Melbourne market”, Virgin Australia group executive of commercial Liz Savage said.
The Perth services will depart Melbourne at 1pm and 5:30pm, with return flights departing at 8:30am and 5:30pm. Sydney services will depart at 7:15am, returning at 10am.
