Australian company TAE has bolstered its maintenance capabilities by purchasing the NAS Services APU, starter generator and electrical component maintenance system from Cobham Aviation Services in Adelaide.

Terms of the purchase were not released. In a statement, TAE said existing NAS operational staff and equipment would be retained, with operations transferred from NAS Services’ Parafield base to TAE’s Adelaide Airport facility.

TAE said it had also received approval from from Hamilton Sundstrand to serve as Authorised Repair Facility for the APS500 and APR1000 APUs from the Dash 8, Fokker 50 and BAe fixed wing family of aircraft for the next 10 years.
