Brunei has signed a contract to purchase 12 Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk multi-role helicopters with options on ten more.
Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in early 2013, Sikorsky said. As part of the deal, the US based company agreed to locate a Black Hawk simulator in Southeast Asia to allow Brunei aircrew to familiarise with the rotorcraft. The contract also includes spare parts, training and ground support equipment.
