“Today’s announcement by Hobart International Airport of a $20 million upgrade to its runway is welcome news for tourism and the local economy,” Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Anthony Albanese said.
“Passengers at Hobart International Airport are also expected to increase from 1.9 million each year to 2.8 million by 2020 which shows the need for effective planning and management of our airports.”
