The Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA) will host QF32 pilot Captain Richard de Crespigny at its 2011 Convention in September, with the Airbus A380 pilot due to give a special presentation of his experience in dealing with an uncontained engine explosion over Indonesia’s Batam Island last November.
“Captain de Crespigny’s considerable skills involving teamwork, problem solving, judgement, knowledge, experience and putting years of highly-skilled training into practice, will form the centrepiece of this incredible and compelling story,” the RAAA said in a statement.
