If ever there were lingering doubts about the success of AirAsia they were swept aside during the GFC when the airline posted double digit growth while most airlines suffered horrendous contractions.

And incredibly, just to rub some salt, AirAsia was able to increase its ticket prices by 5 per cent as competitors slash fares to try and fill seats.
