EASA certifies ATR 72-600

ATR has announced that its new 72-600 turboprop has received EASA certification, clearing the way for service later this year.

Delivery of the first ATR 72-600, to Royal Air Maroc, is expected to take place this northern summer.

Testing of the ATR 42-600 is also underway, with certification expected to be given by the end of this year.

ATR says it has booked 141 orders for the -600 series since launching the -program in October 2007.
