Taking shape
Further evidence of Virgin Blue’s ‘Game Change’ strategy is emerging.
On the same day as Virgin Blue revealed its first half profit result for 2010-11, the airline announced its decision to acquire ATR 72s for its regional operation, and unveiled its new business class product for its A330-200s, the first of which subsequently arrived in Australia in early March. Also in March the airline revealed details of its new inflight catering options, while at presstime the unveiling of the airline’s new name, branding and livery was thought to be imminent.
