Regional Express Holdings Limited (Rex) has announced a group profit before tax of $12.2 million for the half-year ended 31 December 2010, a reduction of 5.4 per cent on the same period last year.
The company said overall revenue grew 2.9 per cent to $121.2 million from the same period last year, passengers carried dropped 1.4 per cent to 632,777, and ASKs increased four per cent to 389 million.

The airline also announced the appointment of GM Flight Operations and Chief Pilot Chris Hine to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer from March 1, and that board member David Miller will be retiring as a director, also from March 1.
