• Airbus has confirmed at its annual press briefing in Paris on January 29 that it will develop an A330 freighter version, the A330-200F, with a payload of 63 tonnes over a 7860km (4250nm) range. The aircraft could be in service by 2004, but the go-ahead would depend on sufficient orders.
