Then in early November the 747-8I achieved ‘power on’ for the first time, allowing engineers to begin functional tests on the aircraft. According to Boeing, power on is a series of tasks that methodically energise and activate the aircraft’s systems, with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems brought on line. (Boeing)
