As a result the local bizjet fleet has increased from 157 to 178 aircraft.

In our review period we saw the delivery of four new types to operators in our region: Gulfstream 550 VH‑LAL to Little Aviation at Essendon, Victoria; Gulfstream 450 VH‑MBP to Marcplan Charter at Essendon; Embraer Legacy 600 VH-VLT to Clear Skies (Vic) at Essendon; and Embraer Phenom 100 N200XT to a private owner at Bankstown.

Operators who appear in our directory for the first time are Pacific Real Estate (Warilla) of Wollongong, NSW, with Citation Mustang VH‑YDZ; EC Menzies Aviation at Essendon, Victoria, with Citation CJ3 N91GT; Jackson LLC of Mascot, NSW, with Learjet 60 VH-EXJ; Erudgere Vineyard, of Mudgee, NSW, with Citation II VH‑EUV and Mitchell Air of South Melbourne, Victoria, with Citation Ultra VH-WFE.

Established operators added a further seven new aircraft with Linfox Global Charter taking delivery of Global 5000 VH-LEP to join Challenger 850 VH-LEF and Learjet 35A VH-LPJ; Jet City adding Challenger 604 N604AU to join Learjet 35A VH-JCR and Learjet 36A VH-JCX; The Singapore Flying College took delivery of Citation Mustang VH-SQW as the first of five of type which will replace its four Learjet 45s; Twentieth Super Pace Nominees added Citation I/SP VH-VPM to join Citation Sovereign VH-VPL; Crown Melbourne added Gulfstream V VH-CRQ to join Gulfstream V VH-CCC and Gulfstream IV VH-CGF; and ST Aerospace Engineering in Singapore added Gulfstream 550 VH-PFL to join Learjet 45 VH-PFS and Learjet 35A VH-PFA.

Nelson Corporate Aviation, which previously operated Challenger 604 VH-OCV, took delivery of Global Express XRS VH-OCV, while Walker Air Services which previously operated Falcon 900C VH-LAW, took delivery of Global Express XRS VH‑LAW.

Of the 28 aircraft imported three were imported to replace aircraft previously operated, these being Citation Mustang ZK-MUS for Acernus Aero of Wellington to replace Citation Mustang ZK-MOT; Gulfstream 550 ZK-KFB for Execujet New Zealand of Wellington to replace Gulfstream IV ZK-KFB; and Global Express XRS N18WZ for Rank Services in Auckland to replace Global Express N57LE.

Deliveries

With the global financial crisis led downturn we entered this period wondering just how the bizjet market would react, but as it turned out the 29 aircraft that were delivered in the period under review was in fact double the number in the previous 12 months. Annual bizjet deliveries 2005 to 2009 were 14, 18, 33, 24 and 14 respectively.

Deliveries for the period 01/11/09 to 31/10/10 were as follows: Citation Mustang VH-YDZ was registered to Pacific Real Estate (Warilla) of Wollongong on November 2 ’09 and was delivered to Sydney/Bankstown on November 4.

Falcon 900EX P2-ANW was delivered to the Government of Papua New Guinea at Port Moresby on November 23 ’09.

Citation CJ3 N91GT was delivered to EC Menzies Aviation at Melbourne/Essendon on December 13 ’09.

Global 5000 VH-LEP was registered to Linfox Global Charter of Melbourne on December 14 ’09 and was delivered to Essendon on December 18.

Learjet 60 VH-EXJ was registered to Jackson LLC of Mascot on December 14 ’09. Then registered RP-C2956, the Lear 60 had earlier been delivered to Sydney on October 25 ’09.

Citation II VH-EUV, which was registered to Erudgere Vineyards, of Mudgee, NSW, on January 25, had earlier been delivered to Melbourne/ Moorabbin as N241FT on December 21 ’09.

Embraer Legacy 600 VH‑VLT, which was registered to Clear Skies (Vic) of Notting Hill, Victoria, on January 4, was delivered to Essendon on January 28.

Citation Ultra VH-WFE was registered to Mitchell Air of South Melbourne on January 22 and was delivered to Essendon on July 31.

Global Express VH-OCV, which was registered to Nelson Corporate Aviation of Sydney on February 1, was delivered to Sydney on February 6. Global Express VH-LAW, which was registered to Walker Air Services of Mascot on February 26, was delivered to Sydney on March 15.

Citation Mustang ZK‑MUS, which was registered to Acernus Aero of Wellington on March 23, was delivered to Wellington on April 22.

Gulfstream 550 VH-LAL, which was registered to Little Aviation of Essendon on April 16, was delivered to Essendon on April 19.

Citation Mustang VH‑PWX, which was registered to Flight Operations (Australia), Sunshine Coast Airport, Queensland, on May 4, was delivered to the Sunshine Coast on June 4.

Challenger 604 N604AU was delivered to Jet City at Essendon on May 11.

Gulfstream 550 ZK-KFB, which was registered to Execu‑ Jet New Zealand of Wellington on May 26, was delivered to Auckland on June 1, but since arrival it has been based at Essendon.

Global Express VH-ZXH, which was registered to AVWest of Redcliffe, WA, on June 2, had earlier been delivered to Perth as N38ZZ on May 30. This aircraft was later cancelled from the register on July 21 when sold in the Cayman Islands and was replaced on October 19 by a Global Express XRS which was also registered VH-ZXH.

Gulfstream 450 VH-MBP, which was registered to Marcplan Charter P/L of Essendon Airport on June 16, was delivered to Essendon on July 11.

Global Express VH-VLA, which was registered to Holypeak P/L of Melbourne on June 16, was delivered to Essendon on June 26.

Citation Mustang VH‑SQW, which was registered to the Singapore Flying College of Marcoola, Queensland, on June 21, was delivered to the Sunshine Coast on June 29.

Citation I/SP VH-VPM, which was registered to Twentieth Super Pace Nominees of Southport, Queensland, on July 14, had earlier been delivered to Moorabbin as N528RM on July 1.

Gulfstream IV N127DK was delivered to Kefford Corporation at Essendon on July 11.

Citation Ultra VH‑SJP, which was registered to Aeromil Pacific of Mudjimba, Queensland, on July 12, was delivered to the Sunshine Coast on July 22.

Phenom 100 N200XT was delivered to a private owner at Bankstown on August 12.

Falcon 2000EX VH-WIO, which was registered to Balmoral Air P/L of Artarmon, NSW, on September 29, was delivered to Sydney on October 3.

Gulfstream V VH-CRQ, which was registered to Crown Melbourne of Tullamarine, on September 30, was delivered to Melbourne on October 1.

Gulfstream 200 N533GA arrived at Auckland on October 5 with the aircraft reported to be for Vela Fishing of Hamilton.

Global Express XRS N18WZ was delivered to Rank Services at Auckland on October 13.

Global Express XRS VH‑ZXH was registered to AVWest of Cottesloe, WA, on October 19.

Gulfstream 550 VH-LAL was registered to ST Aerospace of Singapore on October 28.

Departures

In the period under review eight bizjets departed our region. This compares with departures for the five year period 2005 through 2009 of seven, four, seven, eight and five respectively.

Westwind II VH-NGA of Pel-Air Aviation was written off on November 19 ‘09 after it was ditched in the sea off Norfolk Island.

Beechjet 400A VH-EXB of Executive Airlines departed Essendon on April 29 on sale to an operator in Thailand, and was cancelled from the register on May 6.

Gulfstream IV ZK-KFB of Air National Corporate departed Auckland on April 30 for Savannah, Georgia, where it was traded in on new Gulfstream 550 ZK-KFB and cancelled from the New Zealand register on May 19.

Global Express VH-ZXH of AVWest departed Perth on July 8 and was cancelled from the register on July 21 when sold in the Cayman Island. It was registered VP‑CKR before being delivered to a Moscow/ Vnukovo based operator.

Hawker 400XP VH-NTX, which was operated by Tinkler Group Aviation, was cancelled from the register on July 20 when sold in the US. It was registered N584SC before departing Sydney on August 30 for the US.

Citation II P2-TAA, which was operated by Transair of Port Moresby, was destroyed when it crashed on Misima Island on August 31.

Premier N34GN, which was based in Darwin with the Connected Solutions Group, departed there on September 7 on its sale in the US.

Global 5000 VH-KTG which was operated bt Jet Explorer International of Coorparoo, Queensland, was cancelled from the register on October 29 on its sale in the US.
