Officials give a "thumbs up" in recognition to the Dash 8/Q-Series and Global business jet program milestones.

Canadian manufacturer Bombardier has delivered the 1000th example of its Dash 8/Q-series airliners and the 400th Global series business jet.

The 1000th Dash 8 aircraft, a Q400 to Pinnacle Airlines, is the latest of a line started with the original Dash 8-100 series and which has since evolved into the stretched -200 and -300, the Q200 and Q300 which feature quietened cabins, and the substantially enhanced Q400 line.

“As we celebrate the 1000th Dash 8/Q Series ircraft and the 400th Global business jet, we are reminded of the long heritage of Bombardier’s Toronto site,” said Steve Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “These milestone aircraft are part of a more than 80 year tradition of excellent technological achievement in Ontario. Today, we salute the employees, past and present, who have worked at this site.”
