Bell Helicopter has delivered the 1000th production 407, with the aircraft going to Japanese company Shin-Nihon Helicopter Corporation Ltd.
The aircraft was handed over at a ceremony at Bell’s manufacturing facility in Mirabel, Canada. Shin-Nihon also operates 12 other Bell helicopters, and has had a 50 year association with the manufacturer. It will use the new 407 to perform powerline patrols and other missions including transportation of materials and equipment for construction, aerial survey and photography services.
