Inside the RAAF’s Air Mobility Control Centre

We’ve profiled many RAAF Air Lift Group (ALG) units, aircraft, and operations in Australian Aviation in recent years, but one of the newest and increasingly important nodes in the ADF’s transport organisation, the Air Mobility Control Centre (AMCC) has, to date, just been glossed over in passing. It doesn’t own or operate any aircraft, and therefore perhaps doesn’t often get the recognition it deserves.

Background

The AMCC was established in late 2005 following a series of humanitarian relief missions in which the ADF played a role.
