BAE to train Brunei pilots at Tamworth

written by australianaviation.com.au | May 21, 2010

BAE Systems Australia has announced it will soon commence basic flying training of students from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAF) at its Tamworth Flight Training Centre.

“The contract will see five students complete a training program provided solely by BAE Systems instructional staff at the Tamworth flying training college, utilising CT-4B training aircraft,” said John Quaife, BAE’s general manager aviation solutions. The students follow two RBAF pilots who graduated as qualified flying instructors (QFIs) at Tamworth last August.

The five students will commence their training on June 7.
