Emirates Airline and Tourism New South Wales have signed a $2.4 million, three year joint marketing agreement, which comes as the airline celebrates 10 years of service to Sydney.
“Given the importance of the Sydney and wider NSW market to Emirates, we hope this partnership will further serve to grow the inbound travel market for Sydney and NSW from Emirates’s destinations worldwide,” said Emirates vice president Australia Stephen Pearse.

The agreement will see the two organisations coordinate their marketing of destinations in New South Wales to markets in the Middle East and Europe. It will include promotions on Sydney, as well as Newcastle, Albury, Coffs Harbour and Newcastle which Emirates serves through connecting codeshare flights on Virgin Blue.
Emirates announced in late March that in 10 years of serving Sydney, the airline has carried over two million passengers. This is set to further increase, with the airline currently operating three daily services to Dubai, including one operated by the A380. Emirates also operates flights to Auckland and Christchurch via Sydney.
