V Australia now operates twice weekly services on the route, departing on Fridays and Sundays, its first destination away from the crowded and now lower yielding trans-Pacific market. The airline is also due to start a weekly service from Melbourne to Phuket from December 3, two days after it launches its first twice-weekly direct service from Melbourne to Los Angeles.
