CASA has released new draft regulations on maintenance of aircraft under Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Parts 42, 66, 145 and 147 for public comment.
CASA originally opened public comment on its proposed “Maintenance Suite” or regulations across the various CASRs in 2006, but the draft regulations were not available. The Authority has now made them available and is seeking further comment on the proposed changes, which establish the revised regulatory framework for continuing airworthiness, maintenance personnel licensing, maintenance organisations and maintenance training organisations.
